Refund Policy — Character Errors Refunded and Remade | Cinnabar Ink

This page is the whole refund policy. It is short because it covers two things: we refund what should be refunded, and we say plainly why the rest is not.

1. 1.Full refund before delivery

   Between payment and delivery you can ask for a full refund with no reason given. We return it to the original payment method on receipt, usually 3–5 business days depending on the payment provider.

2. 2.After delivery, generally no refund

   The nature of a digital file decides this: once downloaded, it cannot be recalled. The rule is the same for everyone, regardless of amount and regardless of whether the design has been tattooed.

3. 3.The single exception: character errors

   The following are refunded in full and remade free, with no cap and no limit on how many times we do it:

   • 1.Glyph errors — wrong character, mirrored, or simplified/traditional mixed
   • 2.An interpretation that does not match the design's stated meaning
   • 3.Corrupt files, or resolution or specs that do not match what the page promised
   • 4.Provenance on the story card that does not match the actual record

4. 4.Answered within 24 hours

   Report a character error and we reply within 24 hours with the verification result and what happens next. If it holds up, the refund and the remake start. The refund goes out on the next business day after you confirm.

5. 5.Custom orders and the deposit

   Custom work starts with a $9 deposit that buys three original concepts. If the concepts are not delivered, the deposit is refunded in full. Delivered concepts make the deposit non-refundable — what the deposit buys is the three concepts themselves. Running past 24 hours is not an automatic refund trigger; we email you the status instead. After you choose a concept and pay the balance, clauses 2 and 3 above apply.

6. 6.Duplicate charges, failed captures and fraud

   A double charge on one order, or a payment captured with no order generated, is refunded in full. Suspected fraud is held back, and we explain the basis for that.

In case of any discrepancy, the English version prevails.
